How do you smoother potatos?!

Question:

How do you smoother potatos?

Answers:
Use a hand mixer and add a little warm milk (to maintain temperature) at a time. Add a huge dollop of butter or vegetable spread and freshly ground salt and pepper.

smoother potatoes? Do you mean mashed potatoes? You can chop them up and cook them, with limited water, until they are real soft, then you mash them up with a spoon, or those mashing utensils.

PS. Add a little butter!

Ummm...are you talking about smoother potatoes, say if you're mashing them? I use a hand mixer after mashing them by hand to smooth out the lumps.

Use a pillow and sneak up on them while they sleep.

Use a potato ricer or a food mill with a coarse disc. Fool proof method. Can't go wrong. Why do you want potatoes s-o-o-o- smoooth? I like mine with a few lumps for texture. Too, never add COLD milk or cream to your potatoes. Makes them gummy. Always warm the milk or cream before adding.

All you have to do is:

1.) Peel then chop potatoes (for even and faster cooking).

2.) Add butter and milk - amount would depend on your
personal consistancy!
(butter will give it a nice buttery flavor
while the milk will smoothen it out and
make it nice and creamy.)

3.) Add salt & pepper (to taste).
-Any additional seasonings (e.g. seasoned salt, garlic salt,
Tony Chachere's, etc. for an
extra tasty mashed potato).

4.) ENJOY!!

I assume you are referring to mashed potatoes... I use a dab of marg and enough milk to make the mixture smooth as I beat and mash it.
