Perfect Espresso Without an Espresso Machine
Perfect recipie for all your frozen Frappaccino and Lattes and Cappacchino's. After much trial an error, I have come up with the perfect measurements to brew your own espresso using your favorite coffee. My favorite coffee is fresh ground Eight O" Clock Columbian coffee. I grind it into a fine grind. But be creative use flavored coffees, vanilla, carmel, chocolate. This will work with all of the coffees you buy from your supermarket or specialty store. I use this recipie in my Frozen Frappaccino Frappacchino Blended New and Improved Recipe. As well as my recipe for Caramel Macchiato Caramel Macchiato Blended. I brew a batch every morning and store the extra in the fridge. This recipie can also be used if using an espresso machine. This recipe yeilds 1/2 cup 2 servings. All my recipies require 1/4 or 4 tablespoons of brewed coffee so save the other 1/4 cup in the frige for later. Please note that this recipe may not work when using an 8 cup or 12 cup coffee maker. The recipe is for an espresso machine or a small 2 cup coffee machine like the Black & Decker quick brew.
1/2 cup cold water
1/4 cup fine ground columbian coffee or 0 fine ground flavored coffee
Place 1/4 cup of heaping ground coffee in your coffee makers brewing basket.
Pour 1/2 cup of cold water into your coffee maker and brew, always measure your end product to ensure it is 1/2 cup of brewed espresso.

Buy those instant coffee mixes, that's as close as you'll be able to come.
If you have a coffee grinder or a food processor, using either regular ground coffee or whole beans, pulverize the coffee into a powder. If not, and you have an international food store, get yourself some Turkish style ground coffee. Then instead of using your regular automatic coffee maker, boil some water on the stove, in a pan. then steep the powdered coffee in the water for a good 5 minutes in either the pan you boiled the water in, or a teapot..since the resulting coffee is going to be quite biter and very gritty, you can filter the results using a regular coffee filter, and drink it black, or sweeten it with a little regular sugar, or artificial sweetener.
I go with 2 to 3 cups of water with at least 1 to 3 tablespoons coffee to start with. Then vary the amounts to suit your own taste.
I don't use a machine, I use a French Press. Check the links. I also use 8'O clock Colombian coffee. This doesn't make an espresso strength coffee but more of a cappuccino strength cup.
First get the 8'o Clock Whole Bean coffee and then use the grinder at the store. Set the grinder for Course Grind. This leaves the coffee in bigger pieces.
Boil water in a tea kettle and put three scoops of the coffee into the French Press. Pour in the water and stir, then let it sit for 3 minutes. Stir again then use the plunger of the French Press.
Then enjoy the coffee.
I'm Italian.
I assure you that you can't.
If you use moka the coffee will be good but it won't be espresso.
