Self-rising flour.....?!

Question:

Self-rising flour.....?

Don't have any self-rising flour, but have heard that with modification, all-purpose can be used. Anyone know what these modifications are? Sifting? Adding something? Thanks.

Answers:
Self Rising Flour

Here's how to make self-rising flour if you don't have any on hand.
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons baking powder
PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients; store in tightly covered can or jar. Use in any recipe calling for self-rising flour.
Makes 1 pound of self-rising flour.

Here's the recipe substitution I use and it works well. I adapted it from several Beer Bread recipes

3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
? tsp. baking soda
? tsp. kosher salt
