Will you judge my burger recipe?
I want to enter the food network's best burger contest. It is based on flavor and new and unusual ideas. Here is mine: Ground chuck and sausage with cumin and chopped jalepenos. Bottom of bun-Smoked, refried black beans, & melted hot pepper cheese. Top of burger-more melted hot pepper cheese. Topping for burger-is a mix of chopped tomatillos, red bell pepper, red onion, & black olives. This mix is marinated in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, cumin & a dash of louisiana hot sauce. Top this on last before bun. What do you think.

It sounds interesting, but I have a few issues with it.
First of all, I love spicy food and this sounds like it has a lot of heat to it. The problem with that is that too much heat kills the flavours. Try not to overpower it with hot.
The refried beans might be a bit much. If you want to keep the smokiness you could do this with either a nice smoked cheddar (replacing the hot pepper cheese on the bottom), or go for some tried and true smoky bacon. Or get some smoked sausage and grind that into the burger as well.
You also have a lot of cumin in this. Either put it in the burger or the toppings. Remember, you want to go for balance here. If you have one flavour that overpowers the rest then that's all you're going to taste.
Beyond that, it sounds good.
Sounds yummy if you like spicy. Hope you win!!!
First you may not want to be announcing your recipe and what you are doing because someone will steal it for sure.
As far as your recipe I think there are too many flavors going on at one time. You might think about cutting a couple of the ingredients.
Go for it!
sounds great! be sure to include how much of each ingredient in your recipe. you might want to include a tall cool drink to go with it, though. Maybe some tums. WOW super spicey.
sounds good..have you actually made and tasted it???
Sounds pretty good, is the ground chuck mixed with ground sausage? You could even add some poultry seasoning to the meat to add some zest to the sausage , I also would include some freshly chopped herbs on top of the marinated mixture for color and taste, such as cilantro, minced parsley and I definately would add some freshly minced cloves of garlic to the marinade. Good luck, hope you are successful.

I would never try this mess.
You put peppers and hot sauce.
I might go into anaphylactic shock and sue you.
That sounds pretty good, actually. A bunch of flavors, textures, and temperatures makes for an interesting and exciting burger. I'm a big fan of spicy/hot foods, although I think some people might be scared off by all the heat.
One thing: personally, I could do without the refried beans. Don't get me wrong--- I love refried beans! But their addition to this burger seems like overkill. The burger would be a real "belly-buster", and besides, the flavor of the beans would be kind of "lost" under everything else.
Sounds delicious!
You should really delete this question before someone steals your idea...if they haven't already. Good luck though.
WOW!!!!! Sounds great..... Good Luck to you!
Just me, but I think I would put the topping mixture inside the burger with the diced jalapeno or combine the ingredients in a food chopper with mayo for a spreading consitency, it may be a little loose for putting on the top. My husband would love it, he like spicy foods.
