boil noodles combine all ingredients and bake for about 45 mins on 350 with foil on then take foil off and brown the top in oven for another 15 20 mins

1/2 pound elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon powdered mustard
3 cups milk
1/2 cup yellow onion, finely diced
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 large egg
12 ounces sharp cheddar, shredded
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Fresh black pepper
Topping:
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup panko bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook the pasta to al dente.
While the pasta is cooking, in a separate pot, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour and mustard and keep it moving for about five minutes. Make sure it's free of lumps. Stir in the milk, onion, bay leaf, and paprika. Simmer for ten minutes and remove the bay leaf.
Temper in the egg. Stir in 3/4 of the cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Fold the macaroni into the mix and pour into a 2-quart casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese.
Melt the butter in a saute pan and toss the bread crumbs to coat. Top the macaroni with the bread crumbs. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and rest for five minutes before serving.
Remember to save leftovers for fried Macaroni and Cheese.
i have tried the grown up mac and cheese. U cook the mac and cheese and add mushrooms, onions, grilled chicken breast, and bacon. I first tried it at T.G.I. Fridays and it was soo good. I tried it at home and it was just as good. oh yeah i used the mac and cheese out the box Use velvetta

absolutely... it will take a box of Kraft macaroni & cheese and a box of VELVETA cheese, boil water, add the macaroni... cook until tender usually 7 - 10 mins .. drain macaroni and add 1/4 cup of butter and 1/4 cup of milk.. add VELVETA cheese in small 1 inch chuncks and put back on stove top and cook slowly until chunks are melted and VIOLA you have GOOD mac and CHEESE
I follow the instructions on the box, but leave out the milk. Mmm mm mm! Thick and rich. Plenty of salt and pepper. Eat it with bread and butter.

8 ounces shredded mozzarella
4 ounces grated Pecorino Romano
About 20 grinds black pepper
Cook pasta until al dente in a large pot of boiling salted water. Drain.
Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir to form a smooth paste. Cook for about 2 minutes, being careful not to brown. Gradually add the milk and the half-and-half and simmer until thickened slightly, stirring all the while. Remove from the heat. Stir in the 3 cheeses and season with black pepper, to taste. Add the cooked pasta and mix into the cheese sauce thoroughly.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
For the Classic Mac and Cheese:
1 cup coarse bread crumbs
1 tablespoon butter, melted
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Pour half of the mac and cheese into an 8 by 8 by 2-inch baking dish. In a mixing bowl toss the bread crumbs together with the melted butter, parsley, and salt, to taste. Top the mac and cheese with the bread crumb mixture and bake 15 minutes or until the topping has nicely browned and pasta is bubbly and creamy.
For the Chili Mac and Cheese:
2 tablespoons chili powder
A few dashes dried red chili flakes
1 cup crushed yellow corn chips
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 small lime, zested
Stir the chili powder and chili flakes into half of the mac and cheese base. Pour into an 8 by 8 by 2-inch baking dish. In a mixing bowl combine the crushed corn chips together with the oil and the lime zest. Top the mac and cheese with the corn chip mixture and bake 15 minutes or until the topping has nicely browned and pasta is bubbly and creamy.

THREE CHEESE BAKED MACARONI
3 c. elbow macaroni (cooked and drained)
1 can Cheddar cheese soup
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. shredded Swiss
1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
1/2 c. grated Parmesan
1 can French fried onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In 1 1/2 quart casserole, mix hot macaroni, soup, milk, seasonings and 1/4 cup of each Swiss, Cheddar and Parmesan. Add 1/2 can fried onions. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until heated through.
Top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake uncovered 5-8 minutes until cheeses are golden brown. Makes 4-6 hearty servings.
Mac and Cheese is probably my favorite food, so...The recipe I use is the LUBY's macaroni and cheese recipe. Search it on the web. It calls for american cheese, but I use an entire box of velveeta or deluxe american. And, I double the recipe and use wagon wheels. Absolutely the BEST!! I put a link below!

Yes i do, 1 box of elbow macaorni 2 cups of milk, 2 cups of butter, 1 bag of sharp shredded cheddar cheese, and 1 pack of shredded mozzerella cheese, or white cheddar cheese, and now make the macorni and layer the cheese and mac layer in a round cassorole dish, in the middle add butter and milk, then layer again, and put progresso bread crumbs on top, bake at 375 for 30 minutes, If you will like layer tomato slices on top before you put the bread crumbs on, then bread crumbs

@ 3/4 cup milk
shredded cheese
Mix soup and milk on the stove and add cheese till it's mostly melted. Add the pasta. Pour into a greased casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 1/2 hour.

HELLA GOOD MO'NIQUE'S MAC AND CHEESE
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 lbs.Macaroni
1/2 Stick of Land O’Lakes Butter
1 jar of Kraft Old English Cheese
1 jar of Cheese Whiz
2 blocks of Shredded Extra Sharp Cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Boil macaroni until tender and then set aside
In a glass baking dish, layer macaroni, then add butter, Old English cheese, Cheese Whiz and Shredded Cheddar evenly across dish
Beat three eggs and 1/2 cup of milk and then spread over
Continue layering to the top of the baking dish with macaroni and cheese
Bake until the top is golden brown
