Recipe for baked meatballs (48-50) 4qt crockpot?!

Question:

Recipe for baked meatballs (48-50) 4qt crockpot?

I'd like to bake the meatballs and place in crockpot til serving time. I'd like the sauce to not be sugary(jelly) or the barbecue kind. The recipe is for party meatballs, maybe some type of dry cheese in the meatballs? Any ideas? Cheese is not required... but looking for a low sodium recipe. Thanks

Take 1 can cranberry sauce and 1 jar of medium salsa and mix together in a saucepan and heat until cranberry sauce is melted. Then pour over meatballs in crockpot. Put on High for 3 hours, makes a very good sauce.

Meatballs and Sauce serves 10. hope this helped

INGREDIENTS
2-1/2 pounds Italian meatballs
1/2 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons water
1 cup sour cream

DIRECTIONS
Combine meatballs, mushroom soup, water, and sour cream. Cover and refrigerate overnight so that the meatballs can absorb the flavors.
Pour the mixture into a slow cooker and heat until the meatballs are heated through. Serve hot.

First recipe is for a savory sauce. Use lo-so canned ingredients for it. The second is a recipe for meatballs ... just use the savory sauce on them.

Italian Meatballs

Categories: Maindish, Beef, Italian

This is similar to the other meatball recipe I have, but without the sauce. They can be used in soup, over pasta or to make a meatball sandwich. We actually found this recipe years ago ... In fact we acquired it by copying it from a cookbook while standing in a grocery store. I seem to recall we were looking for a recipe to take to some get- together, and it's served that purpose many times over the years. The recipe has been modified to reduce the sodium, eliminating the salt and changing garlic salt to garlic powder, and using homemade bread. Baking the meatballs is much easier than frying them. And they don't fall apart from the handling.

1 1/2 lb Beef,Ground
1/2 c Egg Substitute
1/4 c Parmesan
1/2 t Garlic Powder
1 T Parsley
1/2 T Oregano
4 sl Bread,Crumbled
3 Onion,Chopped

Combine beef, egg, cheese, seasonings and bread. Form into 1 inch balls. Bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes, turning once. Drain on paper towels.

Yield: 6 Servings

for sauce make it in mushroom soup if you dont liek the others ;
or pour in a small jug of V 8 juice and let it simmer in that with onion ,green peppers ,garlic

This is a great party recipe for meatballs I use it all the time everyone loves it

Honey Onion Meatballs

Ingredients
1 cup Honey Teriyaki Sauce
1 cup Vidalia? Onion Dressing
1 lb. frozen meatballs
Prepared white rice (optional)

Directions
Place ingredients in slow cooker; simmer approximately 4 hours. Serve over white rice or alone.

Easy sauce recipe:
Use one bottle of low-sodium barbecue sauce
One can of low-sodium cream of mushroom soup
Put in crockpot with meatballs and heat on high until it's all heated through. I usually use frozen meatballs, but if you're trying to do low sodium, maybe you could make your own with just ground beef, salt-free seasoning, egg(s) and a little bit of bread crumbs and then bake. (then add to sauce in crock pot and heat and serve!)
