Answers:
Kalgoorlie is the only one who gave a reasonable answer here. Listen kid, stick with Kalgoorlie's mediterranean style omelet, or try this casserole:

Buy 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup(not condensed) and pour them in a large casserole dish you've sprayed with cooking spray. Add a can of drained canned white chicken meat and spread around in the soup.

Meanwhile, take a package of chicken flavored stuffing mix, add 1 and one-half cups hot water and stir until moistened. Spread this over the soup and chicken meat in the casserole dish until it's all covered.

Place the casserole dish in a 400 degree oven and bake for about 12 minutes. Be sure and use oven gloves to remove the casserole; be careful, it will be hot! Cut in squares and serve. It makes a sort of chicken pot pie and is very good.

fried chicken and baked spaghetti

Spaghetti with meat sauce

Anything you cook for your family will be appreciated. It does not need to be fancy. I would suggest spaghetti, a salad and garlic bread. This is fairly simple to do and can be make quickly from inexpensive, prepared foods available at any grocery store.

You can also check out www.allrecipes.com. They have a really good index of simple recipes, broken down by time.

You must be a really great kid to want to do this...KUDOS!

Make some pasta and sauce. Boil up any type of pasta you like, cook until it is al dente, which means just still a bit crunchy. Heat up a jar of spaghetti or al fredo sauce. Make a tossed salad to go with it and some bread and butter.

Well obviously everyone had the same idea. You can always make a big veggie salad with some ham or chicken in it, boil some eggs to chop on top of it.
You can make grilled cheese sandwiches and serve with tomato or chicken noodle soup
You can do breakfast for dinner and make pancakes or french toast, scramble up some eggs, make some sausage and you're good to go!

It is almost impossible to mess up a casserole. Most cookbooks have numerous casserole recipes. Or search the web for one. I love them because you just put all the ingredients together, it cooks in 30-45 minutes, and then everyone tells you what a great cook you are.

Pork chops in the crock pot.
Ingredients:
Pork chops (usually one per person, maybe 2 for dad)
A bottle or 2 of barbeque sauce

Directions:
Put pork chops in crock pot, cover with sauce (so they're basically floating in it). Cook on low for 8 hours (turn it on around 10am to eat at 6pm) or high for 4 hours (the meat might be a little tougher this way, but it's still good). About 15 minutes before it's done, heat up some green beans and make a box of scallop potatoes and you have a delicious dinner.

Back when I was in high school, my family had gone to my grandmother's to do some yard work for her. When they came home, I had made spaghetti, a simple tossed salad, tea, and had some strawberries and cream for dessert. It wouldn't have to be strawberries, but any fruit you have on hand. Or you could find something that you already have in the house...ice cream, cake, cookies, etc. They came in and smelled the onions, garlic, and sauce simmering...they were drooling. ;o)

Good luck finding that meal that's just right. :o)

Hey! Glad to help! My fave meal that I make would probably be a Mexican Dish. I <3 Yellow Rice and a Quasidia! It is really simple. My fam <3s it when I help make it or make it! Hope this helps!

I like breakfast for dinner. You could make an egg dish to bake Like an omlet but without the hassel it would take abut 45 min. in an 11-13 pan in the oven. scramble eggs with a little milk no more than a half cup sausage cooked a little green pepper onion cheese and bake 400 pop in some bisquits. Have a fruit cup with melon and pineapple. milk coffee or tea. yum yum good healthy easy to clean up. use paper plates no mess.

Firstly - will everyone please realise that this kid is only thirteen ? Stews and the like, chicken etc. are difficult -do you want the kid to give the folks food poisoning?
KEEP iT SIMPLE.
Medditerranaen style omlette - need some sliced cold meat ( Broken up) some chopped onion ( not too much - half a large one) small amount of parsley. some slices of cheese
Do not have the pan too hot ( but ensure that there is a very very small covering of oil to make the pan smooth ) and mix 4 eggs in a cup and add gently to the pan and simply add the ingredients.
Do not attempt to touch the omlette until it is FIRM.
Famous chefs sometimes put the pan under a grill after 3 minutes of cooking so that the top is cooked quickly
When serving -cut the omlette carefully and add sliced tomatoe to the side of the plate for nice touch. Serve with bread !

Chicken Braised With Tomatoes And Green Peppers
(Polio con Peperoni)

What You Need:

2 green peppers
4 medium firm ripe tomatoes
A 2?-to 3-pound chicken, cut up
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
? cup olive oil
? cup finely chopped onions
? teaspoon finely chopped garlic

How To Cook:

1. Skin the peppers by spearing them one at a time on a long kitchen forkand turning them over a gas flame, or by placing them under the broiler 3 inches from the heat, turning them until they blister and lightly blacken.

2. In either case, use a small sharp knife to peel off the loose skin; quarter and seed the peppers, remove the white pith, and cut the peppers into ?-inch strips. Set aside.

3. Scald the tomatoes in a large pot of briskly boiling water for 10 seconds, then lift them out with tongs or a slotted spoon and plunge them into cold water. With a small sharp knife, cut out the stem and peel off the skin.

4. Quarter the tomatoes and cut away the pulp and seeds, leaving just the shells. Slice the shells into ?-by-2?-inch strips and set them aside on paper towels to drain.

5. Wash the chicken quickly under cold running water and pat the pieces dry with paper towels. Sprinkle each piece of chicken with salt and a few grindings of pepper.

6. In a heavy 10-to 12-inch skillet, heat the oil and brown the chicken over moderate heat, a few pieces at a time, starting them skin side down and then turning them with tongs. As each piece becomes a rich golden brown, remove it to a dish.

7. Now pour off almost all the fat from the skillet, leaving just a thin film on the bottom. Add the onions and garlic and cook them over moderate heat, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes, or until they are soft and lightly browned. Toss in the pepper strips and stir them with the onions for a minute or 2.

8. Add the tomatoes and cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Then return the chicken pieces to the pan and spread the vegetables over and around them.

9. Cover the pan tightly and simmer over low heat, basting every 10 minutes or so with the pan juices that the vegetables and chicken will soon give off. The chicken should be done in about 30 minutes.

10. To serve, arrange the chicken on a heated serving platter. Using a slotted spoon, remove the vegetables from the skillet, let them drain, and spread them over the chicken.

11. Boil the liquid remaining in the pan over high heat for 2 or 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until it is thick and syrupy. Taste for seasoning and pour it over the chicken. Serve at once.

Boiled Rice With Lemon
(Riso al Limone)

What You Need:

6 quarts water
3 tablespoons salt
1 cup plain white raw rice, preferably imported Italian rice
2 tablespoons butter
3 eggs
1 cup freshly grated imported Parmesan cheese
4 teaspoons lemon juice

How To Cook:

1. In a large soup pot or kettle, bring the water and salt to a bubbling boil over high heat. Pour in the rice in a slow stream so that the water never stops boiling.

2. Stir once or twice, then reduce the heat to moderate and boil the rice uncovered and undisturbed for about 15 minutes, or until it is tender.

3. Test it by tasting a few grains. As soon as the rice is done, drain it thoroughly in a large colander.

4. Over low heat, melt the butter in a 1-quart flameproof casserole and immediately add the hot drained rice. In a bowl, beat the eggs with a fork until they are well combined.

5. Then beat in the cheese and lemon juice. Stir this mixture into the rice and cook over very low heat, stirring gently with a fork, for 3 or 4 minutes. Serve at once while the rice is still creamy.

Serving Size: 4

STRAWBERRY ICE
1 cup water
? cup sugar
2 cups fresh ripe strawberries, pureed through sieve or food mill
2 tablespoons lemon juice

How To Cook:

1. In a 1?-to 2-quart saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil over moderate heat, stirring only until the sugar dissolves.

2. Timing from the moment the sugar and water begin to boil, let the mixture cook for exactly 5 minutes.

3. Immediately remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.

4. Depending on which of the flavored ices you want to make, stir in the lemon juice, or the orange and lemon juices, or espresso coffee, or the pureed strawberries and lemon juice.

5. Pour the mixture into an ice-cube tray from which the divider has been removed.

6. Freeze the granita for 3 to 4 hours, stirring it every 30 minutes and scraping into it the ice particles that form around the edges of the tray.

7. The finished granita should have a fine, snowy texture. For a coarser texture that is actually more to the Italian taste, leave the ice-cube divider in the tray and freeze the granita solid.

8. Then remove the cubes and crush them in an ice crusher.

NOTE:If you use frozen strawberries rather than fresh ones, make the syrup with only ? cup of sugar.

To make about 1? pints of each flavor

Chicken and Mushroom Bake with Rice
6 chicken pieces
1 c. water
1 can cream of mushroom or
cream of celery soup (i prefer cream of mushroom)
1/2 c. rice
2 medium carrots, sliced (I sometimes omit)
celery salt, for seasoning
paprika, for seasoning
1/4 tsp. salt, as needed
Place rice in bottom of a baking dish. Pour 1/2 c. water over rice. Add 1/2 can mushroom soup. Stir to mix with rice. Place chicken pieces, salted and peppered, on top of rice mix. Sprinkle with celery salt. Add carrots. Add remaining 1/2 c. water to mushroom soup in can. Stir until well blended. Pour over chicken, carrots and rice. Sprinkle paprika on top, sometimes I add a little parsley (nice pretty effect). Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 325' for 1 hour.
You can also cook this without the rice and carrots.
It makes a nice gravy to pour over cooked rice or noodles.
