Can you bake a cake in a casserole dish?!

Question:

Can you bake a cake in a casserole dish?

a regular chocolate cake...

Answers:
Yes. You just have to adjust the baking time according to how thick it is in the dish.

yes as long as its big enough, standard cakes take a 9x11 dish.

of course but you must still adhere to size per the amount of batter. Yummy choco cake, my favorite. Have you ever had choco cake made with oil and vinegar instead of milk and eggs? Wacky cake.... it rocks!

i don't see why not as long as you follow baking time instructions for size of dish, example 8x10 or 9x 13 or you can stick a toothpick in it and see if it comes out clean to test for doneness

Yes I have done it many times it, is the same as a cake pan

then it would be a cakepan.

sure. just make sure u butter and flour the pan so it does not stick.

i do and it works way better i use ceramic dish's these work great and are faster to cook the cake in so just keep on eye on it
good luck
