SOFT peanut butter?!

Question:

SOFT peanut butter?

Do you know which peanut butter is still soft after refrigeration so that it is easy to spread on bread...?

Answers:
Why refrigerate it?

It should keep well enough in the cupboard.

And if you do want to refrigerate it, you can always stick it in the microwave for 20 seconds when you want to use it.

Generic kinds usually because they tend to have extra oil added to them.

As odd as it might sound, PB does not require refrigeration.
So feel free to leave it out....as long as you are mindful of not getting other foods in the jar....

But, I know, some people are leary of that sort of thing, I understand....
But I'm afraid that I dont know of a soft PB, sorry.
The ones that seperate tend to be a little runnier - maybe after its cold that might do the trick

JIFF is good, but why do you need to refrigerate it? I never do.

none is soft after being refrigerated you have to get it out about 15 minutes before you use it if you keep it in the firige. but you dont need to keep it in there

I've never heard of putting peanut butter in the fridge. Maybe that's why you can't find any soft peanut butter!

Sometimes when I have a pure peanut or almond butter, the oil will seperate, leaving the rest quite firm. Once in awhile I just take out a sturdy knife and give it a good mixing. It will stay soft for awhile.

ALL peanut butter will become difficult to spread once it's been refrigerated.

Why refrigerate peanut butter?

If you're talking about all-natural peanut butter, you are supposed to refrigerate it. If it's hard to spread, add a little vegetable oil and stir it up.

any of the creamy store shelf brands will be spreadable... the old fashioned pb's with the oil on top is the only type of pb that needs to be refrigerated. It IS very tough to spread and has definitely lost it's popularity to the processed pb's like Jiff, Skippy, Peter Pan, etc.

Peanut Butter doesn't need refrigeration.EQUALITY PEANUT BUTTER made in Canada is THE BEST

I am guessing that most peanut butter should still be soft after refrigeration, but peanut butter does not need to be refrigerated to begin with. It will stay just fine in your pantry.
