egg flour salt

Try this

god knows
i've always bought it in packets for pancake day etc
hope you find out

4oz flour, an egg, and milk or water roughly half a pint. Salt and Pepper, mixed together, if it's too thick add more liquid, too thin add more flour. Leave to stand in fridge for about an hour before use!

yes a good batter is 1pint water to 1pound flour add a little baking powder and yellow food coluring ONLY A SMALL DROPLET

plian flour salt eggs and milk with abit of water mix together and you should have a nice batter

i use pancake mix and yourkshire pud mix does te job for me and very cheap to buy

Flour and BEER egg , salt
Or fizzy water
For the batter mix
5 free-range eggs
140g/5oz plain flour
140ml/5fl oz milk
140ml/5fl oz water
2 tbsp vegetable oil

Depends what sort of batter.

For Japanese Tempura batter it's:
100g plain flour
1 medium egg
225ml ice-cold water (a suggestion for a really light tempura batter is to substitute the ice-cold tap water with ice-cold sparkling water)

For pancake batter it's:
120g plain flour
A pinch of salt (if you are making sweet pancakes use a heaped teaspoon of icing sugar instead)
2 eggs
210ml milk
90ml water

Beer/Lager Batter:
225g self-raising flour
salt and pepper
300ml fridge-cold lager (if the batter is still a little too thick, add in a bit more lager

As with a recipe for brownies, just pour all the ingredients into a bowl and whisk/mix until free of lumps and about the consistency of custard (although tempura should be a little thinner).

equal quantities of flour eggs and milk/water salt to taste. let it rest for 20Min's in fridge.

try flower, egg , and a can of stella , the stella will give the batter plenty of air making it very crisp, i always use this for fich with a pinch of mint.
