How to counteract too much dill?!

Question:

How to counteract too much dill?

I made a chili recipe that called for fresh dill but I used dried (about half to 3/4 of what the recipe called for fresh) and it's too much. What can I do to counteract the overpowering dill flavor? Thanks in advance for the help!

Answers:
Just Double the recipe and save yourself the hassle. Dill is a wonderful herb but it is as you stated very potent. If you don't want to do that then you can strain the chili and rinse off with water and just redo the sauce part of it by adding it to your remaining ingredients.

- Add some water, but this will make the chilli thinner.
- you can add another can of beans and a can of tomato soup.

If you have it on hand, try adding a can of tomato soup and some more chili powder. If that doesn't help, I would add another can of the soup. Try it everyonce in a while to see how your comming along. Hope this helps!
