The only addition I have to Curious Connie's recipe is to add diced onions, bell peppers and 1/3 cup BBQ sauce to the beans and cook in a 350-400 degree oven.
My mother made these and I have been making them for 50 years. Pour a lg can of pork n beans into a casserole dish. Add some brown sugar and garlic to taste. You need to be able to smell the sugar and garlic. Layer the bacon on top and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for about an hour. Check on it after about 45 min. It's done when the bacon is done. Delicious!!!
Sure.
Open 2 cans of Bush's Baked Beans. pour in a pan.
Lay strips of bacon on top. Cook until bacon is done.
I dice up onions, and add to a pan of baked beans. I also add brown sugar and stir in some crushed pineapple. Add some bacon bits and if you like, green bell peppers diced up are good also. After stirring in the ingredients, I lay strips of bacon on top of the beans and cook until the edges are boiling.
