Does peanut butter really have butter in it?!

Question:

Does peanut butter really have butter in it?

Answers:
nope....

Nopers, not a drop.

no

No, just peanuts and oil. Less oil makes it more "chunky" style.

No None
But you can add it just like I do with honey.

No..it contains peanuts and hydrogenated vegetable oils.

Roasted peanuts....sugar, molasses, vegetable oil, mono and diglycerides and salt are in Jif, no butter.

It was called peanut butter because of the texture, like apple butter for the lack of a better term

Peanut jam
Peanut jelly
Peanut spread....

Peanut butter

no, i think it's the hydrogenated content of the oil released from the peanut in the grinding process where it gets its butter name from.

Nope. It is just ground up peanuts, sugar, salt and other bits and pieces. But NO butter.
