Recipe for Crown Burgers (Utah) Fry Sauce?!

Question:

Recipe for Crown Burgers (Utah) Fry Sauce?

Does anyone know how to make Utah style fry sauce? I've tried mixing ketchup with mayo and it's just not the same. I've even tried adding a little dill and/or mustard to the ketchup/mayo mix and it's still not the same. My favorite fry sauce was at Crown Burger in SLC but even Wendy's in SLC had fry sauce which was really good as well.

Thanks so much.

regards,
mari

Try This:

1 cup Miracle Whip - has to be miracle whip, not mayo
1/2 cup ketchup

Mix all ingredients well.
Refrigerate until use.
Use as a dipping sauce for French fries.

I love fry sauce made by mixing ketchup, mayo and sriracha hot chili sauce. But only if you like hot, spicy foods.

Here's what I found for the traditional:

1 part ketchup
2 parts mayonnaise
Mix together until thoroughly blended.

Other options:

Substitute barbecue sauce for ketchup.
Use buttermilk or half & half to thin the sauce.
Pickle juice (either dill or sweet) for a little zing (rumor has it the official recipe includes pickle juice)
Chopped pickles minced very tiny, so the sauce is a little chunky (this makes the sauce look suspiciously like thousand island dressing)
Seasoning salt
Horseradish
Garlic
Whatever exotic spices you have on your shelf--go ahead, experiment

Hope these give you some new ideas!
