Charcoal or gas grill???!
Charcoal or gas grill???
Answers:
Charcoal if you have time. Much better flavor.
Gas Grill if you grill every night like I do. Even in the winter and in the rain. You can add flavor and smoke by adding wood chips and a few charcoal bricks to the grill.
personally I prefer charcoal, i like the taste it gives the food.
I prefer charcoal... gives it a nice "smoked taste"... to what ever you throw onto the grill
Gas grills aren't that great ... they give food sort of an "odd" taste
charcoal is better, it is also cheaper and makes the food taste 10x better!!
Charcoal, not only does it give a better smokey flavor, but I feel it is more inexpensive.
I think it comes down to a tradeoff between taste and convenience.
Charcoal - Most people agree that the taste is better, but it takes longer to start the process and it can be more challenging to cook correctly (due to less control over the heat). Also, a good charcoal grill will be significantly less expensive than a good gas grill.
Gas - Much easier to operate, but the taste isn't as good. Also, it's important to get a grill that puts out a significant amount of heat. Cheap grills often do not get hot enough to sear food, which seals in the flavor. This searing ability is one reason that charcoal grills often produce better tasting food.
Hope this helps.
I prefer charcoal because it gives food that nice natural grilled taste. With gas, it tastes all regular, and bland.
Steak/chicken leq quarters: Charcoal
Fish, shrimp, bonelss chicken breasts: gas
In the interest of full disclosure: I have an electric grill that I use frequently and it cooks every bit as well as gas or charcoal.
charcoal with mesquite wood. mmmmm! i have a gas grill and we are always ending up using somone elses charcoal grill!!!! It just tastes so much better and they are cheaper!
I like the taste of the foods that I grill when using charcoals.
Well, I have both and they both come in handy for different reasons. The gas is easier to get started for grilling and i doubt your going to taste any propane, but if you have the time and want a smokey char flavor then the charcoal is the way to go, just remember that their is more cleanup with the charcoal grill.
