I'm creating a menu and need help! Our guests are young and hip with money and need to be dazzled!

The Italian word for Eggplant is melanzane. It is a meaty fruit that belongs to the nightshade family. It is related to the potato and the tomato. Did you need the description in Italian also?

Not really sure what you are looking for, but in Europe, eggplants are called aubergine and the Italian word for eggplant is melanzana.
