Question:

What would you put on pita bread? low-calorie, please?

Answers:
I put in low calorie chicken or tuna salad. A friend of mine puts vegetables and low cal ranch dip in hers.

humus or babaganoush

I would put Hummus and Tabouleh on pita bread! It is very tasty. You could add spinach and cucumbers. YUM!

chick peas or mushroom mixed in yogurt cooked with spices, has veryyyy low calories!!!!!

cottege cheese and pineapple with a bit of turkey?

you people eat like birds, no wonder your boney!

? Humus and sliced roasted vegetables
or
? Open the pita bread up and cut the pitas into triangles (you'll end up with 8 chips for every piece of pita) and brush lightly with olive oil and bake for 17-20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Mix 1/2 C nonfat yogurt with 1/2 C nonfat cottage cheese in a blender and add some fresh herbs (dill or thyme or rosemary) add a pinch of salt and you have a very low calorie dip for pita chips.

babaganoush i've got this cool healthy recipie :

Baba Ghanoush

1 medium eggplant (about 1 lb.)
1 small onion, cut into fourths
1-2 large cloves garlic (or to taste), finely minced
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Salt and freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
2 Tbsp. flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped

Heat the oven to 400 degrees.

With a fork, pierce eggplant in 3 or 4 places. Place on a rack set in a baking sheet. Bake about 40 minutes or until soft. Set aside to cool. Peel eggplant and cut into cubes.

Place eggplant, onion, garlic, lemon juice, oil, salt and pepper in a food processor or blender. Cover and purée until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides of container if necessary. Check seasoning and add more salt to taste, if desired. Drain excess liquid and spoon mixture into a bowl. Garnish with parsley.

Serve the baba ghanoush with whole-grain pita bread wedges.

Makes about 2 1/2 cups.

My sweetie loves to tear the pita bread into medium pieces & dip into hummus.......It's his favorite snack.

Tuna (no mayo) spinach, tomato, red onion, and cottage cheese. The cottage cheese keeps it from being dry. I eat this for lunch often. It's very healthy, low fat and low calorie.

You could also grill some veggies and add sour cream. (mushrooms, bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, onion) This is also very tasty. I enjoy this with a side dish of cottage cheese, and a pickle for dinner! (it's also good with grilled chicken)

I like to make pita sandwich, heat it on a dry frying pan, then cut in half and separate each side add turkey or ham then loads of lettuce, tomatos,..etc..add any low calorie dressing you want.

Most important ENJOY..!

Thin sliced smoked turkey breast, lettuce, pickle slices, and just a touch of light mayo.

chicken kebab with whatever spices u like, then shred it up a little so it firs in there, then get or make some tzatziki sauce, (trader joes has a good lower cal version with thin slices of cucumber yum)and put some on top. add tomatoes if u like. also u can make a delicious pita pizza, just use it like a regular pizza crust, put a sauce, or garlic n oilive oil, then ur favorite low cal toppings, i love feta cheese, onions and kalamata olives on mine.
