Can you smoke meats in the oven?!

Question:

Can you smoke meats in the oven?

I have read about oven smoker pans that you use in the oven, but I was wondering what I might be able to make myself using pots, pans, foil, etc.... Also, what temperature and for how long for a pork tenderloin or pork sholder??

Answers:
you can smoke in theoven. Use a large roaster. Put in wet wood chips cover with a smaller alum pan which meat is placed and then cover. This is usually done at 350

I wouldn't recommend it. If you actually get smoke into your oven, how do you think the next pie or cake you bake will taste?

You can get stove top smokers for a fairly reasonable cost. And you won't have to try to get the smoke smell out of your oven.

can't do it. need wood for true smoked meat

no
