Answers:
PEANUT BUTTER PLAY DOUGH
1 c. smooth peanut butter
2/3 c. honey
2 c. instant nonfat dry milk
Mix together. Makes enough for eight children. Have children wash hands before playing with dough and put on clean surface. When finished playing, serve with crackers and juice for snack time. Great for preschoolers and Sunday School.
i would just make sugar cookies and use food coloring
4 cups plain flour and 1 cup of caster sugar, into 2 cups boiling water, stir well, add food colouring, 200g butter and stir well.
you can make this in a mixer with the dough hook to make it easier to mix because they dough is very hot when you first make it.
you mix flour with water until it gets pasty and moldable. You can add color with food coloring and shape however you like. It will eventually dry and harden or you can bake it in your oven to solidify it.
By the way, Playdoh is edible, as in non-toxic.
1 c. powdered milk
1 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. honey
Mix and shape.
The following is an excellent recipe for homemade PlayDough. You can substitute regular table salt for popcorn salt, but popcorn salt is finer grained and incorporates thoroughly. The drink mix performs two functions: colors the mixture, and gives a nice smell.
PlayDough Recipe
Ingredients:
4 cups sifted flour
1 cup popcorn salt
4 cups water
4 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup cream of tartar
Food color or 1 package unsweetened powdered Kool-Aid (optional)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a saucepot.
Cook and stir over low heat until dough longer sticky.
Allow to cool.
Store in an airtight container.
quite simply you take flour, add a pinch of salt, and then mix it with water! don't add to much water or it will be to sticky. also don't add too much flour, or it will be to dry.
Chocolate Playdoh
8 oz. semisweet chocolate
1/4 cup plus one tablespoon light corn syrup
Melt the chocolate in a metal bowl set over a pan of simmering water (a double boiler). Stir the chocolate with a spoon until smooth, then stir in the corn syrup. The chocolate will stiffen almost immediately but stir until completely combined. Transfer the chocolate to a sturdy plastic bag and refrigerate until firm; the consistency will be that of Play Dough. When firm, the dough can be worked by kneading. If it is too hard, cut off small pieces and knead until pliable. If the dough sticks to the counter when rolling, lightly spray counter or breadboard with vegetable spray or lightly grease with vegetable oil.
Frosting playdoh
1 can frosting (any flavor)
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
Mix together until dough reaches desired consistency
Storage: When not using, MUST be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated. Next time you want to use it, let it come to room temperature for pliable dough.
