Does anyone have a recipe for hillbilly icing?!

Question:

Does anyone have a recipe for hillbilly icing?

My grandmother used to make a icing she called hillbilly icing I think it was made with crisco but not real sure. It was smooth and creamy and not sickning sweet. She has passed away and noone can seem to find this recipe.

Answers:
CRISCO FROSTING

1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
8 tbsp. Crisco (1/2 c.)
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat 12-15 minutes until sugar is dissolved. This is a marvelously spreading and delicious frosting

Do a search for "Crisco icing" and you'll find a lot of recipes. See if any of them are familiar to you. Lots of them are made differently.

Does this seem familiar?
