TENDER-N-SAUCY BARBECUE SPARE RIBS
3 lbs. spare ribs

Rinse spare ribs and put into large kettle of water. Boil uncovered for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Remove from water and brush both sides generously with barbecue sauce. Place on hot barbecue grill. Turn every seven minutes,, re-applying barbecue sauce generously each time. Barbecue time should be about 21 minutes. Remove from grill and serve with mashed potatoes, baked beans and biscuits.

Hello!
There is one thing only you need to remember if you want to make tender Spare Ribs, "Braising".
You can add what ever flavors you want, but braising is not only the most tender cooking technique but, also one of the tastiest.
Here is want I do..........
-Season your ribs with your favorite spices
-Heat a regular saute pan with Olive Oil to medium high
-Sear the ribs on all side (meat, fat, bones) everything gets color.
-Place ribs in a crock pot (electric, etc......), turn on low.
-De-glaze your pan with a good red wine
-add that to the pot along with beef stock, onions, herbs, etc.
-make sure that you do not cover the ribs completely with liquid, come up 3/4
-cook for at least 2-3 hours, or until the the bone can be pulled out from the meat clean.
-then just put it over something, rice, potatoes, green beans, etc.
Hope this helps....................
