What ELSE can I do with beef hamburger patties?!
What ELSE can I do with beef hamburger patties?
I have a bunch of quality beef hamburger patties, and needless to say, I am getting sick of the plain 'ol burger. Are there any creative recipes using the patties that don't involve a bun?
Kid friendly recipes would be helpful, too!
Answers:
make Salisbury steaks
take your patties and place in large skillet with water halfway up patties
sprinkle patties liberally with black pepper, onion, and garlic powder.
cover pan and let cook/steam till patties are done. do not try to flip the patties until they are fully cooked, as they will fall apart!
pour in a can of brown gravy, or use a dry mix (follow directions)
add soy sauce, worchershire sauce to taste.
salt to taste.
serve with rice, or egg noodles
Turn them into meatballs or meatloaf, or simply cook with sauce.
HOBO DINNERS ARE THE BEST!!! Get a sheet of tinfoil , and then put in it ....Cut up potatoes, onions, carrots, peppers, anything you want, and put a meat patty in with it ... wrap it up ... throw it on some hot coals, a grill , or the oven ... mmmmmmmmmmmmm good. Use some seasonings.
eat them frozen
mix in some chopped up onions & peppers add garlic salt & some pepper & then grill them. My mom used to always make them & I love them!! Try it, it's very good.
chop them up and make tacos
chop them up and make chili
hamburger parmegian
mini meatloafs
maybe for the kids, make them shaped like mickey mouse ears?

hamburger helper , spaghetti and meatballs, tacos , chili
Cook them and feed the cat and the dog. Cook them and cut them up, then put the chopped meat on pizza, in and or on omelets (you can do the same with sasuage. YUM!) along with some swiss cheese, blue cheese or feta cheese. You can make tacos, if you add taco seasoning to the meat, when cooking it. PUt two raw patties together with something in between, thereby maing stuffed burgers. You cook cook the patties, but put a slice of cheese on top- instead of the usual cheese, try using Blue, Feta, Swiss, any kind but Munster. Munster cheese is as bad, as garlic. Yuk!
if the patties are pretty thin, try putting the topping inside the burger. you can use caramelized onions, blue cheese, bbq sauce, etc.
just put between the two patties, and seal the ends, then grill. delicious!
make them into small balls and cook ,add a can tomato soup, season to taste, put on top of pasta/rice,also layer them in a dish and top with tomato sauce, bake in oven serve with mash and vegies.
