I love cooking. After my divorce it was the best thing for me. I could cook whatever I wanted. My first night alone I made chicken breast and wild rice and salad. And enjoyed every bite of it.
I don't live alone..but I think if I did..I would still cook* Occasionally I would eat out..but tis much cheaper to cook at home than going out all the time. Also, when cooking you can make enough to put into the freezer for other meals for the month.(Spagetti sauce, chilli, etc)
I am Female*
Eating out for me is cheaper. I used my stove for the first time in about 8 months last week.
I'm a female and cook, but don't enjoy it. Cooking for one isn't any fun!
I don't live alone...but my husband is sometimes gone all day...and it feels nice to cook for myself every now and then. Its like giving yourself a treat! I used to eat out at least once a day ...I have made myself tough, and made myself eat at home more often. I have probably saved about 100-200 a month, by eating at home. On top of that....I've lost weight!
I'm female and I usually eat out. I'm so tired when I get home from work that I just want to eat right away and not wait while things are cooking. It's definitely not cheaper, but since I can afford it that's what I do.
Well for me, I spend about 12-15 hours a day at work (not actually working the entire time just hanging out because I love my job) so it is cheaper for me to just grab something with my employees than to cook for myself. I used to cook when I was married but now that I am just one it is really not worth my time or effort to cook a meal. Oh btw I am a Female.
When I am alone (my parents often go away for long periods) I cook every night for myself. Cooking for one is easy, just reduce the quantities or make it for two and have the rest for lunch or dinner the next day.
I'm a female.
I find it very hard to believe that eating out could ever be cheaper than cooking for yourself! Im a poor uni student so i should know!
Not that I love cooking but I cook often because I get tired of eating out. I eat better quality food when I prepare it myself, with few exceptions
