You should let it sit in the pan for at least 5 minutes (probably ten is better) before removing from the pan. Then run a table knife around the edges of the bread pan, and gently lift it out with a metal spatula. Ease it onto the cooling rack. It will tend to get soggy if you leave it in the pan to cool. Bread (and pastries in general) need to cool with air circulation on all sides.

Worked for a year as a pastry chef in a coffee house.
take the bread, cake, whatever you bake in the oven, and place it on the cooling rack to cool. But after about ten minutes, take the rack, put it upside down on top of the pan of bread or whatever, and flip it over. Then lift the pan off the bread or cake.
...if you flip too soon, it may be still gooey, but if you wait too long, it may be harder to get the baked good out of the pan (especially cake, even if you grease the pans.)
Hopefully this helps!!
I guess it depends on the type of bread but when I'm baking loaves of bread I let it cool 5 or 10 minutes then run a butter knife around the edge and then flip it over onto a towel. Sometimes you have to shake it a little (gently) to get it to come out.
