2 cups flour
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup strawberry jam

1. Set oven at 325 degrees (mod. slow).
2. Grease an 8-inch square cake pan.
3. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter until soft.
4. Gradually add the sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
5. Add the egg yolks and blend well.
6. Gradually add the flour and mix thoroughly.
7. Then fold in chopped nuts.
8. Spoon half the batter into the cake pan, spreading evenly.
9. Top with strawberry jam and cover with the remaining cookie dough.
10. Bake one hour or until lightly browned.
11. Remove from oven, cool and cut into 1 x 2-inch bars.
12. While warm, sprinkle lightly with sifted powdered sugar.
13. Double the recipe for a large pan.

1 cup white sugar
2 sticks margarine
2 egg yolks
2 cups flour
1 cup pecans
1/2 cup strawberry or raspberry jam

Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar. Add egg yolks, flour, and pecans. Mix thoroughly. Divide stuff batter in half and spread half of mixture in a brownie pan. Mash 1/2 cup of strawberry jam fine and spread on top of first layer. Press remaining batter on top of jam layer. Bake 1 hour in a 375 degree oven. Cut in squares.
