Uncooked, that is, so I know how much TO cook....

Usually 1/2 cup.
If you want to know the serving sizes and nutritional value go to www.calorie-count.com

half a cup

One big handful works for me or if your into scales then 60grams or so uncooked (2 oz)

I go by the rule of thumb for dinner.... a handful each plus one for the pot. That gives enough for everyone and a little over to top up the greedy plate !

1/2 cup - figure it triples when cooked

1/3 cup cooked rice is considered one serving of carbohydrates, according to the Diabetics food pyramid. Since you're to have 6-11 servings a day, I usually serve either 2/3 cup or one cup cooked rice, depending on the other dishes and how many carbohydrates I've already allocated to other meals for the day.

Edit: It depends on what kind of rice you're cooking for yield ratios
1 cup long grain rice yields about 2-1/2 cups cooked rice
1 cup brown rice yields about 3-1/2 cups cooked rice
1 cup converted rice yields about 3 cups cooked

My measure cup Is
80ml rice
160ml water
I rinse to get it flaky
I also add many vegies at times to steam them at the same time
that is the smallest I can do and I still toss some to the birds.

i cook half cup of rice for a serve meatballs and ine quater of a cup with other meat and vegetables
