Bread recipe for baby, please.?!
Bread recipe for baby, please.?
I'd like to make bread for my 9mth old. we try to feed him natural and organic food but he haven't start his dairy, egg, soy yet so it's hard to find bread doens't contain those. I fed him regular bread (wonder bread) few times and he had no allergy reaction but prefer to make my own to stay simple. I guess I can sabtitute milk with formula.
will you teach me good bread recipe without those ingridents? thank you.

My very simple whole-wheat recipe:
6-cups whole wheat flour
1Tbs brown sugar
2 Cups warm (105-115degree) water
1Tbs salt
Dissolve the sugar in the water and sprinkle yeast on top. After yeast becomes foamy, add flour and salt, one cup at a time. Knead about 7 minutes and turn into a greaased bowl to rise for approx 1 hour. Punch down, and form into 2 loaf pans, and let rise again. Bake in pre-heated oven (350) for about 45 minutes.
To make the bread healthier and soft, after kneading in all the flour, add 1.5 cups of fresh-ground organic soybeans (I usually cook them overnight in my slow-cooker).
I actually bake the soybean bread weekly for a co-worker and her 1 year-old baby. She says her baby can't get enough of it, and since it is so soft, and healthy, it is very good for him.
This is the recipe I always use. It's technically a french bread recipe, but I use it for everything from plain old white, to garlic cheddar and even honey oatmeal. It takes well to any add-ins you choose, and my 7-month old just loves it!
1 pk. of yeast
3 cups flour
2 TB sugar
1 1/4 c. water
Proof the yeast with the sugar and water above
Knead all ingrediants, minus 3/4 cup of the flour, until smooth and well-developed.
Let rise until double in bulk
Knead in the remaining flour until smooth and well developed
Rise again until doubled.
form into loaves (should make two) and place in greased bread pans.
allow to rise one last time, and then bake at 400*
This is a simple recipe which does not use milk and my child eats it warm from the oven,
Ingredients:
1 tablespoons quick-acting yeast
1 cup water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon oil
Directions:
1. Preheat over to 400 degrees.
2. Mix the water, sugar and yeast into a bowl and wait two or three minutes for the yeast to soften.
3. Stir in one cup of flour, then add oil, salt and remaining cup of flour.
4. Dust flour onto a wooden breadboard and place the dough on it.
5. Knead dough for about five minutes.
6. Place dough in a bowl and cover it, letting it rise for about 45 minutes in a warm place.
7. Punch the dough down and work it into a ball.
8. Place the dough in a bread tin dusted with flour.
9. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10 - 15 minutes.
Hope this helps.
