Home made soup?!
Home made soup?
is home made soup fattening , i make mine with veg. & chicken legs ???????
Answers:
A broth based soup isn't that fattening. It would help to take the skin off the chicken legs, then let the soup cool and skim the fat that floats to the top. That way you still have all the flavor but a little less fat.
Depends; do you put much fat in it?
no its not , your taste is good
Mine is a healthy fat- it really depends on how you make it.
fattening should be used as minor.
As long as you do not put cream, butter, potatoes or too much pastas(or other form of carbs that can go into soup) in it then no. Here's a fairly healthy recipe for you
Really yummy chicken soup
1. Cut up the chicken into small tiny pieces
2. in a crock pot, heat up some olive oil
3. Add about half of a small onion (diced/chopped), 1 tablespoon of ginger and 1 clove of garlic
4. Add the chicken (wash really well before) and cook for about 10 minutes in high heat, stirring after every 1 minute.
5. Add a can of tomato paste or a can of salsa
6. Add some veggies to your taste
7. Cook for 10 more minutes
8. Add water/chicken broth
9. Add salt and peper
10. Boil for 10 minutes or to desired thickness
11. Serve with some low fat cheese on top
If you have to question the fat
you should not indulge.
I don't think so
I only use the chicken breast
leaner, only one tendon, no fat, no skin
Skin the chicken legs first, or choose a leaner piece of chicken. Or, you can refrigerate the soup and take the fat off the top. Regardless, your soup is healthy.
I don't think it would be too fattening. I use a whole chicken when I make my homemade soup. I put it in the refrig. and let it cool before I cook it. The fat rises to the top and hardens. I usually scoop as much of it off as I can before I eat the soup so it is less calories. Good luck!
If u remove the skin then brown the chicken with some onions you will have a low-fat but great tasting soup! I always brown the meat for any soup I make
