Cube Steaks
INGREDIENTS
4 (4 ounce) cube steaks
1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Season the steaks on both sides with Cajun seasoning and black pepper. Place the steaks into the prepared baking dish. Pour the lemon-lime beverage over them. Combine the cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix, and pour over the steaks.
Bake, uncovered, for about 1 hour, or until meat reaches desired doneness. Do not open the oven door during the first hour of cooking. Serve steaks with gravy spooned over.
Okay I made this the other night for dinner and it came out GREAT it just takes a long time to cook. I used 1 can of cream of mushroom soup 1 can of cream of chicken soup 2 beef bouillon cubes and 2 tblsp of worstershire sauce and 1 onion sliced thin and about 3/4 to 1 can of milk using one of the soup cans just thin it to your taste so add everything to the skillet except the meat and mix well till you get the thickness you like then add 4 pieces of chuck steak to it and cook about 1 1/2 hours it comes out GREAT just make sure you kepp it low and you stir it every once in a while it makes allot of gracy which taste good so I made mashed poatos with it and my family LOVED it
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds flank steak
4 teaspoons McCormick? Gourmet Collection? Basil Leaves
2 teaspoons McCormick? Gourmet Collection? Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon McCormick? Gourmet Collection? Black Pepper, Coarse Grind
1 teaspoon salt
1 package (6 ounces) fresh baby spinach
1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup dried bread crumbs
4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
3/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons dry red wine
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut flank steak almost in half horizontally without cutting all the way through. Open steak to form a rectangle.
2. Mix basil, garlic, pepper and salt. Reserve 1 teaspoon for sauce. Place 1 tablespoon seasoning mixture, spinach, pine nuts, Parmesan, bread crumbs and 2 tablespoons olive oil in food processor. Pulse to make a coarse mixture. Spread over steak. Roll steak into a log shape; tie with string in several places to close securely. Sprinkle with remaining seasoning mixture.
3. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add beef roll; cook on all sides until browned. Transfer beef roll to 11x8-inch baking pan; cover. Bake 1 hour.
4. Warm skillet on medium heat. Pour wine into skillet, scraping bottom of pan to loosen any bits of flavor. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, reserved 1 teaspoon seasoning mixture and onions; cook and stir 5 minutes. Set aside.
5. Remove beef roll from oven; cover with foil. Let stand 10 minutes. Add tomatoes to skillet; cook 10 minutes on medium heat. Cut beef roll into 1/2-inch thick slices. Serve with tomato sauce.
