Do you cook full course meals during the week?!
Do you cook full course meals during the week?
.....or do you have simpler meals and take-out and then do the big Sunday dinner?
Answers:
Depends how many people you have to cook for. You can do some cooking on the weekend, like chicken, roast beef and use this for different meals during the week. Make a nice size pot of home made soup and freeze it in containers. It just takes a little planning.
Usually not. Sometimes I'll cook up something on Sunday for the week, other times I buy Lean Cuisine and bring it to work with me. It's cheaper than eating out.
About 3-4 times a week. We don't get takeout often. The rest of the week is leftovers.
simple, but complete meals. I usually plan ahead the week on the weekend. Sometimes I'll make a meatloaf and freeze it then take it out and throw in a few baked potatoes. Lots of chicken cooked lots of different ways. Side dishes, salads, etc. I usually cook full meals 4-6 times a week. I don't eat take-out except one time a week (there's 6 of us so it isn't cheap) the other days there may only be 2 or 3 of us so it's "Fend for yourself" night.
I usually cook complete meals five nights a week. One night is sandwich night (summer mostly) and the last day is BBQ day. What ever we want to throw on the grill is what we eat. Its kind of like "plan your plate" dinner.
For me, personally, I do not. I live in my condo by myself and occasionally, I'll make a full meal with meat and rice and a vegetables or something, but typically, I'll just eat a small meal. I'll cook some udon noodles, a can of soup, or something simple that's not to time consuming. It almost seems like a waste to go through all that unless someone is coming over. On the weekends, I'll typically eat with my family at my parents' house and we'll all be cooking something or other.

no I never have time but I do on the weekend Saturday and Sunday
almost every night....My 17 yr old won't eat anything I didn't cook from scratch...I've always cooked...when I was working I would take my day off to make spaghetti sauce, macaroni and cheese, or whatever other meal I could stretch out during the week...Now that I stay at home....fresh home cooked is the only thing he'll do. I don't mind...I love to cook...I look forward to it.
