Mac and Cheese help!?
Can I make mac and cheese using sandwich cheese?
Is it the same?
Answers:
no way....if you are going to make stovr top mac and cheese you need to use velveeta if you will be making baked mac and cheese you need cheddar cheese, and american/or velveeta and milk and butter and eggs slightly beaten.and of course salt and pepper to taste.

myself and baked mac and cheese is one of my "specialty" dishes and I cook quick stove top mac and cheese for the kids on the nights when we are bored with rice or potatoes
hmm... i'm not sure. because once the cheese cools down, it might harden so get like velveeta or something..... i think...
yes, it will be fine
no u have to use the powdered stuff. how come u have the macoroni but not the chees? was it not in the box? whtever u do, do not use hot chocolate mix as a substitute
slice it into small pieces or use a cheese grater. If its real cheese you should be fine , if its processed, it wont taste as good.
when I make mac and cheese I use whatever I have on hand. I use the cheese and I use a little milk in a small fry pan and melt the cheese and milk together till thick... sometimes a little flour can be added for thicking purposes. Good luck !
You can, but make certain it's real cheese and not a processed subsitute. A lot of the "cheese" you buy is so processed it's really not good for anything but sandwhiches - if it's individually wrapped, you can pretty much forget using it for mac and cheese.
No! Please NO. My husband did that one time and I have never wanted mac and cheese since. Use a soft block like Velveeta
it aint the same and i wouldnt reccomend it. i did it befor and yuck.
Whatever u like but my grandma uses
Velveeta cheese
i wouldnt recommend u doing this because i done it before and it hardened and tasted bad..lol
You would have to have A LOT of sandwich cheese and add milk as needed to keep the consistency right. I make mac and cheese using elbows and velveeta and it beats any of that orange crap out of the box.
