Answers:
first spread butter all over the chicken
put salt and pepper and garlic powder
some rosemary too or sage is good

then put in oven
bake up to 45 minutes to 1 hour
let's say around 350 degrees

it would be brown and yummy!
:)

Get a Reynolds Roasting Bag at the store and bake it according to directions. It will cook faster and be more tender than anything you can otherwise bake in your oven.

emerils original essence is really good

Cut the thing in half. Rub it with oil, pepper, season-all, a bit of crushed rosemary, a little poultry seasoning or sage. Heat the oven to 350, put the chicken halves in a glass baking dish and bake for about 45 minutes. You can do the same thing on the grill, only use aluminum foil baking pans. If you don't have many seasonings, just do salt and pepper. You can run it under the broiler the last little bit of time to crisp it up, but be careful because it will burn really fast so don't take your eyes off it. If you use just salt and pepper, you can add some bottled barbecue sauce the last few minutes of baking.

Take a stick of butter or two depending on the size and put it in a bowl.Let it melt in the microwave. Add one or two cups of water. Add garlic salt, adobe, lawry's seasoning salt, black pepper, orgegano, thyme, fresh garlic and chopped onion.

Put it in a roasting pan, make sure the legs are up in the air.Take a fork and literally stab the chicken all over esp. in the breast. Then take the mixture and pour it over the chicken. My June Cleaver stepmom uses a syringe and injects the chicken. Stabbing it up is just fine, its good therapy too. : )
You will have some of the onion and garlic left over shove that inside the open cavity. As it cooks, spoon the mixture over the chicken. Bake on 350 for an hour-hour and a half and your good

Its really easy too.

I just so happened to have done this last night! I washed an orange and put slits in it, then put it into the chicken. I sprinkled parsley and rosemary on the chicken. Then I baked it for an hour and a half. (90 min) It melted in our mouths.

First make sure you thoroughly wash the chicken use a solution of 1 tablespoon of bleach to 1 gallon of water and then rinse it well inside and out.
Dry it with paper towels then rub the entire outside with olive oil and then sprinkle on some dry sage and rosemary {if you can't find fresh }
Place it in a roasting pan and roast uncovered at 375 F for an hour for a 3 pound stuffed chicken or 20 minutes per pound.

I wash the chicken, inside and out. Then I place it in a deep pan (use a roasting pan if you have one). I pour in about a tablespoon of dried rosemary into the chest cavity and then stuff in one onion that has been quartered. I use my Pump-n-Spray bottle to spray olive oil generously all over the outside of the chicken. I bake it for an hour at 325F then cover it with aluminum foil. I continue to bake it for the recommended time depending on the weight of the bird. You will have plenty of drippings in the bottom of the pan to make a delicious gravy.

After the bird is done and the meat has been carved off, I put the bones, skin, and the cooked onion in a crockpot. I add two carrots (cut into 2 inch cubes), two celery sticks (broken into 2 inch pieces), and 5-6 whole pepper corns. Then I pour in enough water to just cover everything. (Salt to taste) I will simmer everything over night. The next day I strain the liquid out and have homemade chicken stock to put in the freezer.

Addition: Be sure that you buy a broiler chicken.

i like making it in mojo -- cuban magic sauce -- you mix up the juice of a couple sour oranges or an orange and a lime and add a lot of garlic and some oregano and cumin and salt and pepper and dump it all over the chicken. you can also buy a bottle of mojo in the latin section of grocery stores.
