What does egg do in cake?!

Question:

What does egg do in cake?

What would be the difference if i put 4 eggs or 2 eggs in the cake batter

Answers:
It does two things:
1) It's a leavening agent (it makes the cake rise to be moist and fluffy instead on being heavy and hard)
2) It's a binding agent and keeps the other ingredients together.

It keeps the cake Moist, Soft, adds flavor and richness. AND IT BINDS THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.

it binds the ingredients together, for changing the ingredients that's up to you, but it's better to stick to the receipt

Eggs act as an emulsifier, keeping the cake moist and preventing too much dry crumbling.

I use liquid egg substitute...

it acts like a leavening agent....

it is a binding agent?
