Question:

Sirloin or chicken breasts for kabobs?

im planning to make shish kabobs for lunch tomorrow.. which is better sirloin or chicken breasts? which is cheaper? how many kilograms do i need for serving 6-8 people?

Answers:
I would go with chicken to save money and time. You will only need 3-4 whole breasts, figure one fillet or breast half per person for lunch. Cut it up into good size chunks, at least an inch and marinate for 20 minutes in a marinade of your choice. Marinate the chunks of veggie in a separate container. Or you could cut the chicken into strips and thread onto your skewer, lengthwise. Timewise, you are looking at 5 minutes on the grill. Brush with ceasar salad dressing while they are cooking serve on top of romaine lettuce, bacon pieces, croutons and additional ceasar dressing.

Both though the chicken (why not use turkey) is cheeper.

Figure half K of meat per person.

If you're serving 6-8 people, make half the kabobs in sirloin, the rest, in chicken. Figure one small sirloin per person, one chicken breast per person.
