What things do you put in a caesar salad? Like tomatoes, olives, etc.?!

Question:

What things do you put in a caesar salad? Like tomatoes, olives, etc.?

Answers:
Traditionally, a Caesar salad consists of romaine lettuce, croutons, grated cheese (usually Parmesan), fresh garlic (often sliced to "coat" the salad bowl), egg yolk, and a vinaigrette made with lemon juice. The dressing may or may not contain Worcestershire sauce and other ingredients.

Other ingredients, like tomatoes or olives (or anything else you might add to a salad), are optional. Some restaurants may add tomato (etc.) and call it a Caesar salad, but it's technically not.

Also, people are under the impression that anchovies are part of the traditional Caesar salad...they're not. However, Worcestershire sauce does contain anchovies, so that's probably where the presumption came from. But once again, you could add whatever you like to your salad.

thats a greek salad (tomatoes, olives, feta cheese)
caeser is pretty much lettuce ,crutons, bacon bits, creamy dressing

Rommaine and iseberg lettuce,tomatoes,cucumbers,oni... and dressing. I think you could put what ever you wanted as long as youo use the ceasar dressing.you know what you like.

garlic
mayonnaise
anchovy fillets
parmesan cheese
Worcestershire sauce
Dijon mustard
lemon juice
salt
ground black pepper
olive oil
cubed bread (toasted)
romaine lettuce

olives, cheese, dressing, croutons. I LOVE SALADS. The best one's are from Denny's

Put whatever you want in it! The base is romaine, Caesar dressing, croutons, and Parmesan. After that, have at it!

Caesar salads are pretty plain, it's basically iceberg lettuce, some sliced black olives, grated Parmesan cheese, grilled chicken, croutons & ceasear dressing.

lettuce, red cabbage, shredded carrots, tomato, cucumber, chopped boiled egg, and top with croutons

Traditional caesar salad is using the ingredients listed by HL smile, the first 10 are for your dressing. The bowl is rubbed first with garlic, then you whisk in your ingredients for the dressing (mayo replaces the traditional egg yolk used). then you toss in torn up romaine on top along with croutons and freshly shaved or grated parmesan. Then you toss it all together and serve.

When I worked at The Olive Garden...I LOVE their Caesar dressing!...I used to put tomatoes in mine and a little bit of onion. Along with grilled chicken, croutons and the romaine and the thinly sliced hard parm cheese...

Oh so good, now you've got me wanting one!
