How many cups of papaya can you get from 1 papaya?!

Question:

How many cups of papaya can you get from 1 papaya?

I'm making papaya milkshake for my Spanish class (its a project), and I'll need a total of 4 cups of papaya cubes.

How many papayas will I need to buy?

Answers:
It depends on the size of the papaya. You need at least 4. I would go with 6, it is sometimes difficult to get the papaya flesh off th pit. Maybe 8. The pit is about 1/3 of the fruit.

if you buy the half ripe little dried up things you can buy in the stores in maine you will need several, if you can go outside and pick a big fresh ripe one, then one could probably do, one and a half anyway.

Papaya cubes are the frozen ones, look for them in the little bags in the frozen fruit section. (Makes sense for a frozen milkshake)
