I tasted the best gooey butter cookies the other day. They were not store bought. I need the best gooey butter cookies recipe?

Gooey Butter Cookies
Makes about 24
8 ounces cream cheese (1 package)
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 18.5-ounce package yellow cake mix
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Add cake mix, and stir until well blended. Roll into 1" balls and then roll the balls in the powdered sugar. Place 1 inch apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
This is my recipe for gooey butter cake, you cut it into bars:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick butter, melted
2 eggs
Topping:
2 c pwd sugar
2 eggs
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
Mix cake mix, butter, and eggs well. Spread in a 9 x 13 well greased pan and pat down.
Mix topping ingredients well and spread evenly over batter.
Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

Refrigerate dough for about 3 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Form dough into 1" balls; roll the balls in the powdered sugar.
Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 13 minutes. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
Variation: Use lemon cake mix instead of yellow.
Yield: About 24 cookies.
