You can cook grilled chicken. All you need is chicken breast, lemons, garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. For the sides..you can cook small little sliced potatoes. Just broil them and season them. Then cook them in a pan for a while until brown. Finally salad would be great. Some wine. And a small cake at the grocery store.

Why not just do spaghetti and meatballs or a pasta bake? And then get out your china or best plates and set the table with napkins and placemats and candles? And a salad and rolls. Easy, but looks extravagant!

I think anything is romantic with candles, nice table setting, soft music and dim lights. He'll be flattered you went to such great lengths to make him feel special.

Fish is always a winner(well, it is for my girlfriend). How about cooking him his favourite meal?

at your local grocery store, check if they have stuffed salmon. It is soooo good, its got crab and lobster and sum other stuff in the middle and all you have to do is bake it, and make some veggie sides or mashed potatos or rice!

spagghetti with french or garlic bread, and a ceasar salad.

His favorite: meat; vegetables; bread; dessert with ice cream; drink
With the table fixed with candles; flowers; and romantic music Or his favorite music.
After the meal give him a nice back rub or get him in the living room for a little slow dancing and whatever follows.

Angel hair pasta with white or red sauce (men usually like white best!). Start the sauce with italian sausage, onions, garlic, peppers and whatever spices you like. Grab a loaf of bread from your grocer's bakery, slice and stuff full of butter and garlic, then bake! Make a simple salad, as well, with his favorite dressings. Remember wine (the brand 'yellowtail' is very good, inexpensive, and shouldn't be hard to find) or beer if he doesn't drink wine. Candles, music, and love is all you need!

Make his favorite meal and his favorite dessert.

well it depends on what he likes, Italian? or Mex? crusted Chicken and sp. I did the same thing your doing but My hubby LOVES Italian so I did Italin sauges, spitti. and garlic bread. and strawberry shortcake . He loved it!

This is what my husband ALWAYS asks for. It's a Swiss pasta dish--easy, but elegant and rich. If you can get cheese ravioli, you're good to go. Just right to serve two.

Ravioli Gratin

--10 to 12 ounces cheese-filled ravioli
--1/2 tablespoon butter, plus enough to grease the baking dish
--1 garlic clove, crushed (not minced)
--1/3 cup off-dry white wine, like Gewurtztraminer
--1 cup heavy cream
--salt and pepper to taste
--pinch nutmeg
--1 tablespoon chopped parsley
--about 1 cup coarsely grated Swiss cheese (use Gruyere if you can get any, but Swiss will work fine)

Bring a large bot of salted water to a boil and cook the ravioli until al dente; drain. Meanwhile, butter a baking dish. Heat the rest of the butter in a saute pan until foamy; add the garlic clove and toss it around for about 3 minutes until it's toasty brown on the outside. Then fish it out and discard it.

Preheat the broiler.

Turn the heat to high and add the wine. Let it bubble away for about 30 seconds. Add the cream. Boil until thickened, stirring, and season with salt, pepper and the nutmeg. Stir in the parsley.

Gently fold in the cooked ravioli, turning to coat them with the sauce. Spoon them into the baking dish in 2 even layers; sprinkle about 1/3 of the cheese in between the layers, and sprinkle the other 2/3 evenly over the top.

Broil until bubbly and edges of a few of the ravioli are starting to crisp and brown, about 5 minutes (watch carefully).

This is so rich that a simple salad or a green vegetable and some bread are all you will need.

Hope you have a lovely dinner, and all the best to you in your pregnancy!
