What are some good italian cook books?!

Question:

What are some good italian cook books?

Answers:
Molto Italiano: 327 Simple Italian Recipes to Cook at Home, by Mario Batali

The Silver Spoon - Phaidon Press
By Phil Torre

"The Taste Of Italy"

It is a really thick 2" hard cover cookbook. This book has everything! It even has information on Italy, the background of certain recipes, and much more.

"Everyday Italian" by Giada de Laurentiis

anything by giada de laurentis, she's my cooking god!

Have you checked out The Essentials of Italian Cooking by Marcella Hazan? It's the book I keep coming back to. It's packed with good information, and it's also unintentionally funny--she's such a food tyrant! When Marcella says jump, you say, how high? "The instant pasta is done, and not a second later, you must drain it"; cinnamon is "a spice to which I have an aversion". Bossiness aside, it's got tons of great classic recipes and is a little like having a fussy grandmother looking over your shoulder as you work--which is, believe it or not, a good thing!

Anything by Marcella Hazan is indisensible. As the other answer said, you will return to it again and again for every kind of meal.
