Macaroni salad w/no miracle whip?!

Question:

Macaroni salad w/no miracle whip?

If you wanted to make a macaroni salad but didn't like miracle whip or mayo, what would you substitute?

Answers:
take some plain yogurt and strain it through a cheesecloth to get rid of most of the liquid (takes about 2-3 hours) and then use that. it tastes slightly like sour cream. it will mix in well, it will be nice and creamy and tastes nothing like mayo or that nasty crap miracle whip. for a kick you can also add a touch of dijon mustard, some dill, some chives, whatever you want. but just make sure you strain it first because if you use it without straining your salad will be runny!

Ranch dressing

Vinaigrette.

Maybe a ranch

ranch......or another creamy type dressing.

I use ranch dressing.

Good Seasons Italian dressing is good.

Make a pasta salad with italian dressing. I like the Robusto italian, it makes a great pasta salad.

a little italian dressing. Or my friend makes it with a tiny bit of mayo and some catalina dressing mixed

Look for another brand of dressing or try a knock off that doesnt taste the same and is alittle to more of your likeing.

Zesty Italian Dressing

Ranch is the easy substitute. Making the dressing from a packet allows you to spice it up the way you want too.

maybe a creamy italian.. I dont like mayo/MW or ranch.. so if I have to have a creamy type dressing that is usually what I go with

i use olive oil and a little italian dressing

You could use red wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil. Tastes great.

Any old salad dressing.

My personal favourite is a "greek" pasta salad.

I cook up the pasta and throw in crunchy bits of carrots, cucumber and onions and crumble in feta cheese and pour on the greek dressing.
