What's a good meal to make on the first date?!

Question:

What's a good meal to make on the first date?

I'm a great cook so anything suggestions you have will be appreciated!

Answers:
Your date's favourite meal. Which you can find out through friends and family of your date.

something that wont mess both of your stomach's up... something nice and easy would be salad, speghetti and bread (maybe you'd like to skip out on putting the garlic on it for the first date) LoL~ but also a roast is always good and w/ it you can put it in a crock-pot and spend most of the night together.

something simple that is sure fire. not spicy or exotic flavors in case he doesn't like them. making something that you really like will tell him more about you.

what rattles your tastebudds? in other words..what do you think tastes great? usually thats what you should aim for..im sure ur date trusts your tastebudds =P hopefully.. if not I would have to say like if you were asking me sphagetti or pizza, or lasagnia..mmm great stuff - and i must add I did get food poisoning recently from sphagetti but thats cuz of the person who baught the ingredients ~_~ WHO I WILL not name...but nonetheless i still love sphagetti if its made correctly. and usually when *I* pick out the ingredients it is eaten within the night there of made or next and I make alot..lol enough to feed over 7 people!

I suggest something that is not too messy.

First, you'll need to know if he is a vegetarian or not. That could be a big mess if he is one and you end up cooking just meat.

I would make a salad, and perhaps some fish (once again, you need to ask first on that one. And make sure by the time he comes over you've had the windows open for awhile so that the house doesn't smell like salmon etc.)
