Question:

Can i substitute nesquick for cocoa powder in a chocolate frosting recipe?

Answers:
No you can't. Nesquick has sugar added to it which may make your frosting grainy.

this website will explain why you shouldn't use it....

Yes.

Cocoa powder isn't sweet like nesquick, so you probably could substitute, but add less sugar then the recipie calls for, just add to taste.

I wouldn't its a little gritty and not as strong as cocoa. It might even change the whole thing.

you probably could but remember, nesquick has sugar, cocoa powder does not so adjust accordingly.

I'd give it a try and see how it turns out. Don't be afraid to experiment. :)

no, it wont taste right. cocoa has no sugar. maybe if you dont add as much sugar as called for in recipe it will balance out. thats what i would do!

yes you can. people do it all the time. even your truly.

Yes, but you would want to use less sugar since nesquick is sweetened and cocoa isn't.

YES !
