Anyone know a good way to grill sweet corn?!

Question:

Anyone know a good way to grill sweet corn?

Does anyone know any good ways to grill sweet corn?

I have tried it in the past, but haven't been successful, All I have is a small gas grill, where I would have to cut the cob in half.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Brian

Grilled Sweet Corn with Garlic Butter Recipe

Hot off the grill, the seasoned butter adds such a distinct and delicious flavor.

Ingredients

ears of corn with husks on
- 6 tablespoons butter - softened
- 1 clove garlic - minced
- 2 tablespoons minced parsley

Directions

Prepare corn by removing any outside husks that may be badly damaged. Then pull back the remaining husks without removing them from the ear. Remove all the silk from the ear and tie pulled back husks with kitchen string to form a handle for the corn.
Mix butter, garlic and minced parsley together until smooth. Lightly brush ears of corn with butter mixture.
Place corn directly over medium coals with husks off the side so they do not burn or place foil under them on the grill in the area of the husks.
Cook corn for 10 to 12 minutes, turning frequently. Lightly brush the corn with the butter mixture each time the ears are turned. When the corn is done, the ears should be nicely browned.
Serve with tied husks, using them as a handle to hold on to while eating.

Raw corn is yummy and much healthier.

wrap in foil is better or put directly or grill..sometimes dries out...

Hello Brian, After I shuck and clean mine, I place each ear (or half ear) on a piece of aluminum foil. Sprinkle with a pinch of sugar, some Old Bay and a few small dabs of butter. Roll up tight in the foil and place on a medium grill for approx 10 minutes. Don't forget to roll it around every few minutes.
Delicious!

the way i do corn on the grill, is to put butter on foil ,enough to cover corn and wrap the foil tight around the corn.it turns out tender and is very good.hope it works for you.

I have grilled corn many times...its good!
So what you need to do it.....open up the leaves (do not tear off), clean off the stringy bits. then recover with the leaves. Set them on a med. flame and let them cook until they are the softness you prefer. Leaving the leaves on keeps the corn itself protected and also adds a somewhat smokey flavor...very good!

If you want simple and just the fresh taste of corn Brian, just open the ears leaving the husk on and clean off the silk. Close the ears back up and soak the ears in water for about an hour. When the coals or grill is ready just remove the corn from the water and drain off excess water. Place the ears directly in the coals or on the grate. The water in the husk will steam the corn beautifully in about 15 minutes and you will get very little charring if you turn the ears over after about 7 minutes. Enjoy bro. Now you have me wanting to grill some corn tomorrow.

I soak fresh corn in cold water for 30-45 minutes. No need to pull off the silk. Grill for about 20 minutes. When you break off the bottom "stem", all the husks and silk come off. Slather in butter, salt, pepper, and enjoy!

Soak your corn still in the husk in salt water for a couple of hours. Place on grill and cook turning several times till done.

If you don't want to make it on the grill........ you could make it in the microwave......... clean the corn - rinse in water and place in saran wrap or what ever brand you have..... cook 3 to 4 min per cob depending on your microwave.
