Philly steak and cheese how do you make it?
I have a box of steak-umms and I don't know how to cook very well. All I want to know is how to make them? And if there are any good recipes for a good fathers day dinner I would gladly appreciate it and if you have any could you make them simple? Thanks

Good thing I live close to Philly, lol.
Just cook the minute steak following the directions. Place a Steak um on the hot skillet and after about 30 seconds flip it. Place your favorite cheese on it at this point and cook for 30 more seconds and then put it on your roll.
Some places will chop up the steak as it cooks and add some sautéed onions and peppers. Others will just put some Cheeze Wiz on it. I like to add onions and provolone cheese myself.
Hi Josh,
There are two ways to make a philly cheese steak. The easier way for you would be to purchase the frozen Philly Cheese meat in your grocer's freezer. Add some oil to a fry pan and saute some onions, peppers and mushrooms (omit what you don't like) Saute till soft and add the meat and cook quickly turning often. Add some fresh provolone cheese and melt on top of the meat. Serve in a hoagie roll.
~~Or~~ you can buy some sliced roast beef in your deli and follow the steps above to make the Philly Cheese Steak.
Bon Appetie !
PHILLY STEAK SANDWICHES
1 1/2 lbs. chopped steak or hamburger
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 lg. mushrooms, chopped
Brown meat with vegetables. Season with season salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt. Add:
1 beef bouillon cube
1/4 c. water
Thicken with 1 tablespoon flour or cornstarch (optional). Cook 10 to 15 minutes. Turn off burner. Slice Swiss or Monterey Jack cheese and lay on top of meat mixture. Put on lid until cheese melts. Serve sandwich mixture on any type of buns.
Here's How:
1. Start with good beef. Pat’s uses sliced rib-eye. Jim’s uses USDA choice top round western steer beef.
2. Shave the beef very thin so it cooks quickly and remains tender.
3. Use a fresh high quality Italian roll - Amoroso’s is a favorite.
4. Decide if you want your steak with or without fried onions.
5. Decide if you want a steak or a cheesesteak. If you elect a cheesesteak you need to decide on American cheese, provolone or the Philly favorite "cheez whiz".
6. Any add-ons? Mushrooms, peppers, pizza sauce, tomatoes? You decide. It’s your sandwich.
7. Start to cook. Sauté the onions, peppers and mushrooms until soft.
8. Fry your steak until brown but not crispy or burned. You can mix in the fried vegetables now or add them at the end.
9. If you elect American cheese or provolone place the cheese on the meat until slightly melted. If you choose Cheez Whiz just smear it on the roll.
10. Place the roll over the meat/cheese/vegetables and scoop it into the sandwich.
11. Garnish your sandwich with pizza sauce, hot or sweet peppers or pickles as you choose.
12. Enjoy your Philadelphia cheesesteak.
Deli-Style Philly Steak Sandwich
This deli-quick sandwich, reminiscent of the popular Philly steak sandwich, is both colorful and very flavorful.
Prep: 15 min - Cook: 12 min - Broil: 2 min
1/4 cup LAND O LAKES? Butter
2 cups sliced onions
1 medium (1 cup) green and/or red bell pepper, cut into strips
1/2 pound sliced deli roast beef, cut into strips
4 hoagie or French rolls, split
8 (3/4-ounce) slices LAND O LAKES? Deli American or Provolone Cheese, cut in half
Heat broiler. Melt butter in 10-inch skillet until sizzling; add onions and pepper strips. Cook over medium heat until onion is softened (8 to 10 minutes). Add beef strips; continue cooking until heated through (4 to 6 minutes).
Meanwhile, place split rolls onto ungreased baking sheet, cut-side up. Broil 2 to 5 inches from heat until light golden brown (1 to 2 minutes).
For each sandwich, place 2 halves cheese on bottom half of bun. Spoon 1/4 hot meat mixture over cheese. Top with 2 halves cheese and top half of bun. Serve immediately.
