Answers:
Practice, and try new things. And know your spices.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT, THAT'S IT. GODD LUCK KEEP COOKING.

Try and try again...everyone likes to have someone else cook for them...so cook things you like...also find great recipes and make them your own..a few extras ingredients can make it your own.

Follow recipes exactly. I've learned a lot from watching the Food Network. I've always been a good cook. Now I'm a great one.

Start of with making basic foods and just keep adding to them and watch cooking shows as much as possible like the food network once you get the hang of what flavors best fit together and what seasonings you like more than likely others will too but the food network works wonders or you can go on the Internet and look up recipes of your favorite type of foods and learn how to make them and once you master them you can add or take out some ingredients to make it your own. and if that does not work you can always take a cooking class

When in doubt... add garlic..

I went to a dream dinners store and made my own dinners using their recipies! no clean up, no mess, no menu planning, and great food

understand the very basic fundamentals of food and how to prepare them. become acquainted with flavors of different ingerdients, and play. the biggest thing in knowing to cook is not to know the most recipes, but to know the proper cooking methods, and exploiting your creativity.

I suggest picking a few dishes or a cuisine that you're interested in and delve into it. You'll pick up things as you cook, read and take classes. When people start complimenting you, you'll want to learn even more.

That's how Julia Childs started... and she developed a passion for the food and French cuisine. The rest is history.

I am a good country cook, but I became better when I started growing and using my own herbs. I no longer rely on a lot of salt to season my dishes. Simple boiled red potatoes ( with the skin left on), tossed with sour cream, real butter, and minced fresh parsley is delicious.
