Whats the best way to make sushi?!

Question:

Whats the best way to make sushi?

Can anyone find any good sites or "how to"s My friend and i made it for the first time the other night and it turned out ok, but it was very messy. It didn't turn out like we had hoped, but we expected it to be difficult the first time.

**** First person to find some good info maybe some good videos or something on techniques gets 10pts ****

You need really really fresh fish, a firm meaty fish works best

The way I make it is leave the sushi rice to call down and add the ready mixed flavour you can buy. Do it to taste. Then I put about 1 desert spoon of rice in the middle of the seaweed spread it out so its even but leave about 2cm from the edge all the way round. Spread a little mayo in the middle the add the filling. I use 1 thin strip of avocado and 1 thin strip of cucumber. Then roll but don't squeeze it to hard. You can put a tiny amount on the edge of the seaweed before you roll it to make it stick. Then get a really sharp knife and put a small amount of water on the blade that way the sushi won't stick to the knife. I was taught that by a Japanese friend

Hope these help you. Good Luck!
