What is your favorite recipe and why?
I'm looking for new recipes..... desserts, main courses, snacks.... anything you want to share.

my favorite recipe has to be my super double layer Hersey's chocolate strawberry cake, with my very own homemade wiped cream
Mine is potato salad cause it;s so good and my mom that passed used to make it for summer picnics always ...boil 2 cups of elbow macaroni till soft.boil 4 eggs till hard,cut 2 stalks of celery in little pieces and cut green onions 2 stalks in small pieces also,,now cut half cup dill pickles in small pieces..now cut eggs in little pieces and add all together good including maconi..now get i half cup mayo and i teaspoon mustard now add a dash of sugar and a dash of pickle juice...now mix all together and put wrap on it and put in refrigerator till nice and cold....now make cheese burgers or hot dogs or whatever you like to go with it,,It is 1 of the best dishes ever 'as i sit with my mouth watering over this dish......lol enjoy
i like this one because its easy and fast and because it only makes two servings so no leftovers
Sautéed Chicken with Lemon Garlic Sauce
1 T. olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
2 chicken breast halves
salt, pepper
1/2 C. chicken broth
1/2 C. pitted kalamata or other intensely flavored olives
1 T. lemon juice
1 C. cooked rice, optional
Heat oil in medium skillet. Add garlic and saute over medium heat 1 minute. Add chicken, seasoned with salt and pepper to taste, and brown 5 minutes per side.
Remove chicken. Pour in broth and scrape up any browned bits. Return chicken to skillet along with olives. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Remove chicken and keep warm. Add lemon juice and cook down liquids by a third. Return chicken to pan to heat through.
To serve, spoon chicken and skillet sauce onto each of 2 plates. Serve rice on the side.
Makes 2 servings.
my favorite is called a four layer delight
and a trifle
my favourite recipe is my lemon cheese cake.
BASE
1 250gm packet of arnotts nice biscuits (or any sweet biscuit but these are the best to use)
130-150gm of melted butter(depending on how absorbent the biscuits are)
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Filling
1 250gm packet of Philadelphia cream cheese
1 395gm tin of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup of fleshly squeezed lemon juice

Base
crumb 250 of sweet biscuits add cinnamon, and nutmeg and poor enough butter in until the mixture is moist and sticks together. put mixture in a spring form 20cm pan and press mixture down with hands evenly cover with glad wrap and place in either fried or freezer while you make the filling

cut 250gm of cream cheese in cubes and place in mix-master and mix until the cream cheese is smooth and thick (sort of like cream) slowly add sweet condensed milk once both of these are combined slowly add the lemon juice one all is well blended in the mix master place in spring form tin and place in fridge until set.
serve with drizzle of caramel topping (this recipe can be doubled to)
