What colors do you mix to make make gold frosting?!

Question:

What colors do you mix to make make gold frosting?

Answers:
Start with a touch of lemon yellow. Make it vibrant but not too much. Then add red or orange, just a tiny bit at a time so that it is slightly orangy. Then add just a touch of purple. The purple is what you will use to make it a deeper gold. Add it in small increments until you have the shade you want. If you make it too dark, just start a new container with a small amount of the gold and add white to lighten it us. Using purple in yellows and greens is how you dull a color, so it is not too bright. White brightens and purple dulls in most colors. I wish I had exact measurements for you, but I do it by eye. You may have to play with it a while.

that's a good one. have you tried looking at Wilton's cooking sight?

I think you would use a yellow with a small, small bit of red? It would be a kinda of orangy, depending on how much red you use. Maybe 10 drops of yellow and 2 drops of red?
