My friend gave me her recipe. Hope you enjoy as I did.

Bereshtook Nokhochi
Makes about 30 squares.

2 cups shortening or butter
4 cups chick-pea flour
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 tbsp ground cardamom
several tbsp ground or slivered pistachios (optional)

Melt the shortening or butter in a frying pan. Turn the heat very low and sift the chick-pea flour in gradually, stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Remove the pan from the heat, and allow it to cool slightly. Stir in the confectioners sugar and cardamom. Spread the dough out on a greased cookie sheet about 1/4-inch thick, smoothing the top with a spatula. If desired, decorate the tops with ground pistachios before baking. Bake in a 300 deg F. oven for about 1 hour. Cool, and cut into tiny squares.
