Make one big cookie out of it. How do I bake it?!

Question:

Make one big cookie out of it. How do I bake it?

I bought a box of Duncan Hines chocolate chip cookie mix. I want to make one huge cookie out of it. The box only gives directions to make small cookies. In order to make one big one do I need to bake it at a different temp or for a longer time or just follow the normal directions?

I also wonder if you just plop it out on the baking sheet or if you need to spread it out to make it thin?

The science of baking, what a fun way to mess with Mother Nature, just kidding, great opening though. Spread your dough out like you're making cut-out dough, the size (thickness) will be detemined by the chips in the dough, oven at 375 and throw the timer out the window due to the surface to mass ratio, (smaller mass with single made cookies), it'll take about twice as long and you're going to have to "feel" your way through this. Foil the outside(tent it) 3 inches of the dough before you pop it in the oven that way the outside won't char before the inside mass is cooked. When's it done? a toothpick on the center will be moist but not wet. Got Milk?

Bake it for the same amount of time just be sure to check it to see if you need to add a few minutes. Remember the cookie baking time is determined by the thickness and size of the cookie, so if you keep the thickness the same then you just have to be sure you have enough time to cook the big cookie thoroughly.

do normal directins first if it d don't wok cook it more

Pan cookies usually do take longer, so I'd keep an eye on it. When I make them, I spread the dough out in the prepared pan to have the same thickness. If you just plop the dough on the pan, you'll have the outer edges cooking first, with a unfinished dough in the center. As for the temperature, I'd probably use the same, unless I am using a dark, nonstick pan, which then I'd reduce the temperature by 25 degrees.

I would either spread it out onto a pizza pan making sure it`s the same thickness all around and bake it at 350 for about 15 - 20 minutes. When it comes out you couls frost it and decorate it with coconut and other things to make it look like a pizza if you want.Or you can put the dough on a 9x13 inch casserole dish at 350 for 20 minutes and make bars or squares.Sounds yummy to me.By the way, have you tied the raspberry swirl chocolate chips by Tollhouse yet? They are great for this type of cookie.
